BMI (Body Mass Index) — a measurement using height and weight used to screen for overweight and obesity.
GLP-1 (Glucagon-like peptide-1) — a hormone class of medications, including Semaglutide and Tirzepatide, that reduce appetite and slow digestion to support weight loss.
Semaglutide — a GLP-1 medication (brand names include Ozempic and Wegovy) used for weight management, available at W8MD from $29.99/week with insurance covering the visit.
Tirzepatide — a dual GIP/GLP-1 medication (brand names include Mounjaro and Zepbound) used for weight management, available at W8MD from $45/week with insurance covering the visit.
Self-pay pricing — pricing for patients without insurance coverage for the visit; typically starts about $30/week higher than insurance-covered visit pricing.
OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea) — a sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts due to airway blockage.
CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) — a machine that delivers steady air pressure to keep the airway open during sleep, commonly used to treat OSA.
Sleep Study (Polysomnography) — an overnight test that records breathing, oxygen levels, heart rate and other data to diagnose sleep disorders.
Phentermine — an FDA-approved oral appetite suppressant used short-term for weight loss.
Qsymia — an oral weight loss medication combining phentermine and topiramate.
MedSpa — medical aesthetic services such as Botox, dermal fillers, laser treatments and IV nutrition therapy, offered under physician supervision.
